The Panthers have turned the Corner. The Race for the Playoffs is here!
Stewart shows us he can stretch. This is huge. All of the Panther greats showed up for this game Mike Mitler, Ricky Proehl, and a huge amount of the big-name Panther Players of the past showed up for this game, and they weren't dissappointed. The Panthers knock off the Bucs and finally get revenge for that humiliating loss earlier in the season. We finally have a little breathing room to work with. The Panthers surge to even greater heights at 10-3, the Bucs fall to 9-4. One more victory and we're in the playoffs, one more loss by the Bucs will probably clinch our division title. We're so close to that first round bye that I can taste it. Could this be the year that the Panthers win the big one? Could this be the year that Steve Smith finally gets his big ring? Only time will tell, but for now let's just enjoy this win. Today is the best day ever. Time for some interesting facts about the game.
1. Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams quinted ((If that is the correct term))the amount of rushing touchdowns that the Bucs have had against them for the year. They started out with one 1 rushing touchdown scored against them during the game. By the end of the game, they had 5. Talk about making a statement. I don't know what John Fox found in their defense, but I have a feeling that the Falcons will place quite a few phone calls to him this week
2. This is the 2nd time this season we've connected for over 100 yards with each RB. It would have been the 1st time in Panthers history we have rushed for over 300 yards....except for one thing. Jake Delhomme took a knee twice at the end of the game to bring the total from 301 yards down to 299 yards. It was still the record amount of yards rushed in franchise history. 3. Julius Peppers is tantalizingly close to setting his career record for sacks for this season. He's at 12.5 sacks for the year after the 1.5 sacks he had during this game. One more sack will take him to his highest point during his career, and with this being his contract year he has every reason to surge above that mark to even greater heights. I fully expected to turn on ESPN this morning and see a full round of Panther groveling. Boy was I wrong. Besides the coverage that was given to the Panthers to the game highlights, they recieved hardly any coverage whatsoever. However, they did managed to slap the Bucs Antonio one handed grab as the top play of the top ten ESPN plays of the week while giving the Panthers the #10 slot with Steve Smith's grab in the endzone. They also managed to fit in a time slot with Jon Gruden's reaction to the game. What the heck? A few other certain bloggers of the community are beginning to think that the Panthers are being given a media blackout. I was on the side of the argument that the Panthers needed to earn their respect before it would be given. After this week, I switch sides. ESPN better get their act together and show us some Panther love later in the week. This week we have a short week to prepare for the Broncos. We control our own destiny now. If we win out from here on, we've got everything. If the Bucs lose this week against the Falcons and the Panthers win we got everything. The Panthers have the advantage. All we have to do is finish. Finally, after a season of wheeling and dealing I have my final lineup for my fantasy Playoffs. Meet Fantasy Football's equivalent of the 07 New England Patriots.

Woah....
This is the most ugly glitch I’ve ever seen. Working on fixing it.

fantasy football and the new name
I have come up with a new name for our RB tandem, but it probably won’t stick – Swift Kick to the Mouth and Punch in the Face. Okay, maybe it won’t be used by ESPN, but it’s how Bucs fans felt after posting on our blog a whole slew of meaningless stats.
I predicted we’d go 12-4 at the beginning of the season, and D-Will would get 1500 all-purpose yards and 15 TDs. I also predicted Pep would get 15 sacks. I’m feeling good right about now.
I have one problem, though, with my fantasy football team. I have to pick someone from this list not to start…
Steve Smith
DeAngelo Williams
Chris Johnson (from East Carolina)
Larry Fitzgerald
Anquan Boldin
Wish me luck.
By the way, we’re going 13-3 with home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Check out this link…
You were on the $ usana
and I thought you were just being a Homer. I would have never guessed those numbers to be accurate or maybe a best case scenario. To prove your point you can search your posted comments and find your prediction and then link to it (if you want).
As far as fantasy, good luck. I would probably sit one of the AZ receivers.
I blog the Carolina Panthers at www.catscratchreader.com
Good prediction.
To give my advice, I’d sit Boldin right now. Larry seems to be getting all the red zone looks right now, but I’d make the decision definately from one of those recievers.

Good feelings
But don’t let this be our season’s peak.
We have finally found our offensive identity. It may have taken a while, but it was exactly what we set it out to be from the season’s beginning: wear out opponents’ D with the run, and lob it up to 89.
Also, props to Dwayne Jarrett on that 3rd down grab- I never thought I’d say this, but he’s becoming a guy we can count on for one of those a game.
Oh, I came up with a new nickname for the tandem:
Chuck Norris’ Right and Left Fists

Don't forget, Steve Smith is his beard.
There is no skin under Chuck Norris’s beard, only another fist.
