Panthers DT Depth takes another hit.

The Panthers' depth at defensive line took another hit Tuesday when the team placed tackle Gary Gibson on injured reserve. Gibson, who has an injured hand, will miss the rest of the season.

They signed defensive tackle J'Vonne Parker today to replace Gibson. Parker has been on the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad this season and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Browns in 2005. Parker, who has played 11 games in his NFL career, played college ball at Rutgers and was born in Roanoke Rapids.

The Panthers also signed defensive tackle Lorenzo Williams, a rookie from Missouri, to their practice squad. -- David Scott

Talk about the last thing we needed. I hope we find a good DT in free agency in the off-season. Remember when we stocked up on Guards and got a good O-Line? We need to do the same with DT's. That's how John Fox built this team to Super Bowl contenders in two years, and that's what he's the best at doing.

We need to win so we get a bye week

and hopefully Kemo will be back. But this still affects the DT rotation. Lets hope these pick-ups are ready to play.

Revshawn quoted on 5th Down

Here’s a link to Revshawn’s interview with 5th Down prior to the Giants game. I have to say rev, you were on the money on a number of points:

Whoever runs the football more effectively will win this game. Panthers, 31-28. Mr. Original John Kasey comes through in the clutch.

Except for the part where Kasay comes through. Ouch!!

Oopps, Little King (Ryan) is also quoted

LK had soem good predictions too.

Our offense will need a quick start, however, and following behind early could spell trouble. Our offensive line is just hitting its stride and should allow Double Trouble just enough room to move the ball. Panthers, 20-17

Good job guys!

Another DT

that just doesn’t sound good. We’ve known our D-line has been our weakness, but until kemo comes back we are definitely hurting. I also have my suspicions about how serious kemo is hurt, I just hope it’s not that bad.
