While we are luckly our injury report is relatively short we do have some key players on it. As of late today, Keydrick Vincent has been ruled out for Sunday, while Kemo did practice on a limited basis he is still questionable.

For the Giants not much has changed. Brandon Jacobs is listed as questionable, but basically that means 50/50 chance. Another interesting injury for the Giants is Hixon as questionable. They will both probably be game time decisions. If either one or both of them or out it give the Giants a void of offense. Of course Jacobs is the bigger story.

Good show!

God I hope Brandon Jacobs doesn’t play.

I doubt it will happen

but if we, somehow, were able to shutout the Giants I plan on taking a doughnut to work on Monday for a co-worker as he is a big Giants fan.

Again I have no illusions this will happen, but it would be priceless.

Look for some

new wrinkles on offense from the Giants. Gilbride has been under the gun lately for his play calling. Maybe a lot more no huddle since we are playing at home, and a new passing strategy that might give Manningham some throws.

There hasn’t been too much said about the thrashing we got from the Panthers the last time we met in the playoffs but you can be sure the coaches have been pounding that theme.

I don’t see this as a whoever gets the ball last type game. Both defenses are tough and I doubt either will give up too many yards. But, who knows for sure? That’s why they play the game.

I'll be looking for the wrinkles

It will be about execution, who makes the right reads, who mixes it up with success. I had forgotten about that game you are referring to. The Panthers beat the Giants 23-0 in the 2005 WC game. Both DeShaun Foster (151 yds) and Steve Smith (84 yds, 1 TD) had big games as did the defense (3 INT’s, 2FF). Marlon McCree has 2 INT’s.

Here’s the link for anyone who wants to reminisce.
