Southern Comfort - A look at the NFC South Stretch Run
Coming into 2008, the talk of the NFL was the powerful NFC East, the rugged AFC West, the talented AFC South, and talented AFC North. Meanwhile, the Bucs' NFC South division was considered one of the worst in the league. Amazing how ten weeks of football can change opinions.
As it turns out, the NFC South is the 2nd toughest division in football, second only to the NFC East.
As it stands through Week 10 of the NFL season - here's the combined records of the divisions...

Tough to predict who will win this division but...
Carolina – W-DET | L-ATL | W-GB | W-TB | W-DEN | L-NYG | W-NO = 12-4
Tampa – W-MIN | W-DET | W-NO | L-CAR | L-ATL | W-SD | W-OAK = 11-5
Atlanta - W-DEN | W-CAR | L-SD | L-NO | W-TB | L-MIN | W-STL = 10-6
Much can change, so we will have to see how it plays out…Winner of this division is almost a lock to make it to NFC Championship game.

Well that didn't go so hot...
Carolina: Wins against DET, GB, TB, DEN, and NO. Losses to ATL and NYG = 12-4
Tampa: Wins against MIN, DET, NO, SD, OAK. Losses to CAR and ATL = 11-5
Atlanta: Wins against DEN, CAR, TB, STL. Losses to SD, NO, MIN = 10-6
Much can change, so we will have to see how it plays out…Winner of this division is almost a lock to make it to NFC Championship game.
