Panthers Jon Beason: NFC Player of the Month
Jon Beason has been Dubbed the NFC Player of the Month, the first to win it since Julius Peppers in 06, and before him Sam Mills in November of 95.
Good for him! I have to say John Fox has really dug up a great one in Beason. He has all of the Dan Morgan talent and leadership with none of the fragility he has had in injuries and concussions. He led the defense in October with 37 tackles and two interceptions, one of which he returned 44 yards in last Sunday's 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He'll be a great leader for years to come.

Well deserved but I have to say I'm surprised
I just wouldn’t have thought that many people outside of Charlotte would recognize his contribution. Remember too that Fox traded down and got more draft picks rather than taking Beason at #12 (or 13 I forget) though he would have still been a good pick in that spot. Shrewd and risky at the same time.
In the picture, check out the play card(I assume) on his belt. That’s a neat addition. You would think with the mic in his ear hole he wouldn’t need it.
I blog the Carolina Panthers at www.catscratchreader.com
Congrats Beaston
Jon Beason sounds like a stand up guy. I try and listen to him every Thursday when he’s on Primetime with the Packman.
