Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

D. Williams

Hey guys this is MasterRWayne from the Colts blog site, stampede blue. I play fantasy football and last year I drafted DeAngelo Williams and was disappointed. I mean I saw him play and I was amazed with his ability, but you guys wasted him on the bench while DeShaun Foster stunk it up and got hurt... again. Is there any chance that the Panthers will give the ball from to Williams this year?

Williams vs. Foster

John Fox is the kind of coach to give Deshaun Foster all the opportunity in the world to keep his starting spot. Foster will have to really fall on his face and DeAngelo would have to really shine to win the job this camp. Fox did the same thing when it was Steven Davis trying to hold off Foster. DeAngelo just may do it though. The new zone-blocking scheme is similar to what he ran at Memphis (and set the rushing record). I'm a Fantasy nut as well, and I wouldn't draft DeAngelo until after getting two other quality backs. I think at best your looking at a platoon in the early part of the year. Now if Foster gets hurt (which he has been inclined to do) I think Williams would be a solid #2 back. The Panthers are going to run the ball this year and the early indications are they are going to be pretty good at it.
