1 hour til kickoff

I'm feeling the upset. But every Panther on the field will need to have an MVP day. Including Coach Fox. We're about to find out!

Go Panthers!

Helloooo Carolina...

Colt fan here.  Good luck to your team today, and I hope it is a good, injury free game.  It should be a good one.

I tell ya, every time I hear the name Carolina, I am reminded of this song by Shaggy.  Hey, it is a good game warm up song!

Welcome to the thread

I'm not up with shaggy yet, but I'll give it a listen.

What an opening drive!

Masterfully done there VT. Nice play calling. And the offensive line is playing like studs. Run the ball done their throat.

Now its the defenses turn.

Defense stops them

Ryne costs us 3 points. But another nice stop by the defense who is showing the Colts the Panthers are ready to play today.

Fuuuummmmmbbbllee

Diggs makes a play! It shouldn't get overturned, both feet were down prior to the strip!

finally

they are finally showing a panthers game live in iraq!!!  the war on terror just go tbetter.  but a shovel pass on third down?  i don't get it, but the defense is looking good, and my confidence is growing.  we can win this one.

2 minute warning

Wayne just caught a tipped ball for a 1st down. The ball is bouncing the Colts way now.

Thank Goodness...

We are coming off a big Monday night game on the road, to go visit y'all on the road... when you guys are coming off the bye.

Yea, they said it was going to be tough.

Wow...

we made it out of that half alive.

by Marked Hoosier on Oct 28, 2007 2:29 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

They were who we thought they were!

We're letting them off the hook.

by Jaxon on Oct 28, 2007 2:32 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

No shoot...

Frankly I am shocked we got into the half with a 3 point lead.

Go Colts!

Half time report

You can't beat the Colts if you turn the ball over. The two turnovers have resulted in a 6 to 10 point swing. The Panthers have to be pissed in the locker room to be down by 3.

Vinny is looking good...

for a 88 year old quarterback who was golfing 3 weeks ago...

Heh, just kidding.  It is very impressive.

Go Colts!

Addai scores again; Colts up 17-7
The Panthers need to stay with their game plan. there's no need to panic. Just need another long drive for a TD and we're right back in it.

by Jaxon on Oct 28, 2007 2:51 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

WOW...
Carr is going in???

I read he had a compression fracture or something...

Why pull Vinny now?

Go Colts!

Oh...

Vinny is hurt.

Go Colts!

I just saw that too...

Ya know that injury bug is hitting everyone hard this season it seems...

Go Colts!

Fumble!

This one may not stick though. Its close but I would say he had possession. Not that I'm biased.

3rd down

Why do we keep running short passes and ridiculous screens on 3rd down?  Who is calling the plays?  Why can't we try throwing to Steve Smith at least once a quarter.  Last time I checked, he was pretty good.  This is so irritating.

by usana_gaines on Oct 28, 2007 3:23 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

They haven't targeted him since the first drive

I agree, what gives? He haven't taken a shot down field yet.

Beason for MVP

He has been awesome in pass defense

by Jaxon on Oct 28, 2007 3:26 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

mvp
I don't know what to think about the MVP.  I think the Colts MVP is our offensive coordinator for calling so many bad, predictable plays.  Beason has played very well, and in an effort to be positive, Carr looks good and Beason's play gives us some real depth at LB.  We're not gonna come back and win this one, but I think we're gonna be competitive down the stretch and still win the division with 10 wins, maybe 11.  That would mean only two more losses after tonight.  We can do it.

Tough game...

Ya know, I really wish they would lay off the Pats talk during games.  Panthers are hosting a game.

After that first drive, you guys just couldn't get anything going.

Go Colts!

by Marked Hoosier on Oct 28, 2007 3:42 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

and about Carr...

I know they like to repeat that soundbite that he is the last quarterback to beat the Colts, but the entire context is that was his first and only win against us.  I think he is 1-9 altogether.

I know it isn't important, but they made it sound like he beat us regularly or something.

Go Colts!

by Marked Hoosier on Oct 28, 2007 3:45 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Good luck to you guys...

You guys looked great the first quarter.

Go Colts!

Thanks for checking in
and being a good sport. One good thing is I have Joe Addai on one of my fantasy teams. I hope you guys beat the Pats.

Panthers are getting routed

This game is over. Turns out the turnovers from the first half did not figure in the outcome. Panthers can't outscore the Colts no matter who's at QB. You might argue the 1st fumble took the air of the Panthers. They had great momentum after forcing the 3 and out after the long TD drive.

Frickin special teams again! Its time to can Crossman! We can't cover, we can't get a KO tot he 20 and we can't hold onto the ball!
